Cognex Ireland was founded in 2008 as one of the headquarters that this American corporation has in more than 20 countries. Which manufactures industrial process control equipment. The 20,000 square-foot building, located in Cork, holds an important part of its international manufacturing and distribution operations. We were contacted to carry out the full Electrical Services for this big production plant.
About five years ago we at Roclec did a full LED fit out for Cognex Ireland, so we had history on the site. But also, the customer was very happy with our previous work with similar clients in this field. That’s how we agreed an Electrical Maintenance Contract which involves Periodic Preventative Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance and project works.
Tasks involves working on main and sub distribution boards, generators, Periodic Inspection Reports, emergency and general lighting, electrical upgrade works.
I.T. works site wide, Data Centre works, comms rooms, production areas, offices, warehouse and also UPS works for their computer system back up.
At the same time, we are doing electrical distribution throughout the site: from the warehouse, production floor, to offices and outside generators. We liaise with the engineers and facility manager on site so our team of electricians can give support and help anytime when needed. Communication is key for our clients to make sure their business runs smoothly.
